Neta L SUV: All-Electric Model Launches in China!

What?

Neta has launched its all-electric L SUV in China, priced at 139,900 yuan (approximately 19,300 USD). The vehicle features a CATL’s Shenxing LFP battery providing a 510 km range and a 227 hp e-motor in the rear axle. Neta is a Chinese NEV brand by Hozon Auto, offering models like Aya, X, S, GT, and now, the L.

Why does it matter?

The Neta L EV boasts LED headlights, a wheelbase of 2810 mm, and luxury features like a 15.6-inch screen, 16 speakers, a fridge, and more. Its 68 kWh battery powers a 170-kW motor, enabling speeds up to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. With prices ranging from 139,900 to 162,900 yuan (19,300 – 22,400 USD), the L EV aims to attract buyers looking for an affordable electric SUV option in China.

How is it going to shape the future?

Despite its appealing features and competitive pricing, Neta faces challenges in gaining credibility among Chinese consumers, having started as a budget-friendly brand. The launch of the all-electric L SUV, alongside the existing EREV variant, could enhance Neta’s market presence both in China and overseas, with plans to introduce the model in the UAE. The brand’s evolution towards more upscale offerings reflects the growing demand for electric vehicles worldwide.
