Geely’s Zeekr has made waves in the electric vehicle (EV) world with its Zeekr 007 Performance model achieving a lap time of 1:41.740 at the Zhejiang Circuit, surpassing the Xiaomi SU7 to become the fifth fastest fully electric car on an FIA-approved circuit.
Why does it matter?
This remarkable performance places the Zeekr 007 ahead of prestigious models such as the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and the Tesla Model S Plaid, ranking an impressive 48th overall at the Zhejiang International Circuit. The circuit, designed by Apex Circuit Design and approved by the FIA as a Grade 2 circuit, offers a challenging 3.2-kilometer track with 16 turns of varying angles and elevations.
The Zeekr 007 Performance boasts a powerful four-wheel-drive system delivering 475 kW of peak motor power and 710 N·m of torque. With a lightning-fast acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.84 seconds, this model features advanced features such as enhanced stabilizer bars, stiffer suspensions, and a CCD electromagnetic vibration reduction system for optimal dynamic control.
In terms of design and performance, the Zeekr 007 Performance stands out with its unique “Kung Fu Yellow” exterior, high-performance tires, and carbon fiber rear active diffuser. Inside, drivers will enjoy a luxurious suede interior with orange stitching, 18-way adaptive racing seats, and an exclusive HMI interface in the cockpit.
